The County is hopeful
that the site work will begin in November.
In addition, we expect to bid the
building shell in November.
It is expected that all interior work
will be completed by the various partners
that will be utilizing the building.
The $426,000 project is expected to
be completed by spring of 2010.
Progress
on the Highway 218 Bypass continues on
schedule.
The County expects engineering work
to begin in 2010 for the next leg from
Highway 69N to Highway 641N.
Construction will hopefully be
included in the Tennessee Department of
Transportation’s three year work plan.
The
Grove renovation project is underway with
site preparation started in October.
The County was selected to receive
the opportunity to use a Quality School
Construction Bond for the project.
School officials will make the final
decision on the financing method use for the
project.
In
other Board of Education news, the
director’s search continues with the
application deadline extended to November 30th.
The
Henry County Patriots will be entering the
Class 5A playoffs the first week in
November.
We hope to reach the championship
game in December.
Henry County advanced to the
semifinals the last two seasons.
As
with governments across the State of
Tennessee, revenues continue to lag behind
projections.
Budget issues will have to be
addressed in 2010 should the County not meet
projections.
We are confident that those issues
can be successfully addressed through
prudent financial management.

government issue and encourage your thoughts
